Adriana Cerretelli is an Italian journalist and columnist for Il Sole 24 Ore. For over twenty years, she served as the newspaper’s Brussels correspondent, covering European Union politics, economic integration, the euro, EU enlargement and European negotiations. She also teaches at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
In addition to numerous essays published in academic and policy journals, she co-authored, with Ugo Piccione, the book Europe Against Itself, published by Il Sole 24 Ore. Throughout her career, she has received several prestigious Italian journalism awards, including the Premiolino, Lingotto, Motta and Pella prizes. She was also awarded the European Parliament Journalism Prize, conferred by an international jury comprising the editors of Le Monde, El País, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and The Guardian.
