The Mediterranean: new resources and integration

The conference is organised in cooperation with Eni S.p.A. (Corporate Partner), Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, the Institute for National Security Studies (Tel Aviv), the Policy Center for the New South (Rabat), and the NATO Defense College.

Energy and energy security are now at the top of national and international political agendas.
In this context, the Mediterranean is set to become a new energy hub, notably since the biggest gas reserves in the basin have been recently discovered in Egypt and Israel.
What potential for an integrated regional market?
What infrastructures will be needed and how to protect them?
What implications for security and cooperation in the area?
Over three panels, 18 speakers from the most relevant institutions involved on the topic will delve into these critical matters, during what promises to be an intense, timely discussion.
The working language will be English and the event will be live-streamed as well.
