Organised by the NATO Defense College Foundation in cooperation with the NATO Defense College, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, and Fondazione CSF

——————

Italy’s position, Navy, and dedicated structures (Agency for the Security of Underwater Activities, National Underwater Domain Hub), together with NATO’s CMRE make it a relevant laboratory for Allied policy and capability development. Strategic foresight identifies drivers and weak signals, assessing how geopolitical evolution, technological change and commercial dependencies may generate cascading disruptions.

The Advanced Research Workshop will bring together NATO, the EU, national authorities, operators, industry and researchers to discuss relevant subjects and draft appropriate recommendations on forecasted policies. The first panel of the ARW will lay down the state of the art of CUI protection; the second will sketch future improvements in terms of policies and capabilities, the third will explore public-private collaboration and partnerships, scanning possible future initiatives and multiple futures, especially in terms of governance and policies (regional agreements, standards, interoperability, procurement, resilience).
