Andrea Gilli is Professor of Strategic Studies at the University of St Andrews, Senior Adviser to the Office of the Undersecretary of State for Defence of Italy, Non-Resident Senior Associate Fellow at the NATO Defense College, and Visiting Fellow at the Bocconi Institute for European Policy-Making of Bocconi University.
Previously, he has worked for or advised a wide range of academic, governmental and policy institutions, including Stanford University, Harvard University, the NATO Defense College, NATO DIANA, the Office of Net Assessment at the U.S. Department of Defense, European Union Institute for Security Studies, Leonardo, the Italian Air Force, Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and the Aspen Institute Italia, among others.
