Eric Terzuolo

Eric R. Terzuolo is a scholar, teacher and practitioner of international relations specialising in US-European relations, European politics and international security, including NATO affairs, arms control and non-proliferation. A US Foreign Service officer from 1982 to 2003, he held diplomatic postings in Beirut, Rome, Prague, Paris and The Hague, and served as Senior US Resident Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Since retiring from the State Department, he has taught at institutions including the University of Amsterdam, University of Rome 3, George Washington University and American University. He is the author of three books, including NATO and Weapons of Mass Destruction: Regional Alliance, Global Threats, and has contributed to leading publications such as Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The National Interest and Limes.
