Giovanni Orsina

Giovanni Orsina is Professor of Contemporary History and Director of the School of Government at LUISS Guido Carli University. He has taught at the Universities of Bologna, L’Aquila and Sapienza University of Rome. He has been a Visiting Scholar at University of Oxford, Sciences Po, and École Normale Supérieure de Cachan. A founding member and Vice-President of the Association for Political History, he is the author of six monographs and around fifty essays, and has edited thirteen volumes and special journal issues on twentieth-century European politics. His work has been published in several languages. Orsina is also a columnist for La Stampa and regularly provides commentary on Italian and European politics for leading international media outlets.
